A student team from Queens Knight School of Communication has produced this short video documentary highlighting two members of the 2020 U.S.-Japan Creative Artists Fellowship Program. Just before COVID-19 struck in full force, the students flew to Philadelphia to interview two of the American artists: muralist Ben Volta and composer Gene Coleman.

The students are part of the Queens in Tokyo program, documenting the impact of the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games in collaboration with students from Toyo University. They are Naomi Tellez-Duran and Itzel Garcia Ruiz of the James L. Knight School of Communication, Margaret Thacker of the College of Arts & Sciences, and Gonzalo Alzamora of the McColl School of Business. They were guided by Bob Page, advisor to student media, and supported by a grant from the Japan-US Friendship Commission.
